Councilwoman Bevins Applauds White Marsh Mall Decision on Parental Guidance Policy
March 7, 2019
White Marsh, MD – Councilwoman Cathy Bevins applauds the decision by White Marsh Mall to implement a parental guidance policy. “I am pleased that the mall has instituted a parental guidance policy. Following several incidents over the past few months involving juveniles the Mall was seen as unsafe. In response to these incidents I met with and was in constant contact with the Mall leadership and the White Marsh Police Precinct where I advocated for a juvenile curfew. I even introduced a County Council Resolution in October requesting that White Marsh implement a parental guidance policy. This new policy is following in the footsteps of the Avenue and Towson Town Mall. I believe that it will have a positive impact for shoppers, employees, and the surrounding community.” said Councilwoman Bevins.
The White Marsh Mall Parental Guidance Policy mandates that those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adult age 21 or older at all times on Fridays and Saturdays after 5:00 p.m. This is similar to polices already in place at the Avenue and the Towson Town Center.
“This is a move in the right direction.” Councilwoman Bevins continued “The policy works at the Avenue and Towson Mall, and the shoppers and employees of White Marsh Mall deserve a safe and positive experience.”
